ADULT PROGRAM

Our daily Adult Classes are an excellent way to pursue personal fitness goals through overall body anaerobic and aerobic workout for all ages and ability levels.

Our specialized classes also help adult students develop practical self-defense skills including blocks, strikes, kicks and take-downs. All of these techniques are presented as an integral part of the traditional Tae Kwon Do system. Our adult students are taught Pumsae (Tae Kwon Do forms), sparring, and the use of traditional weapons.

The WTF (World Taekwondo Federation) Tae Kwon Do system provides a unique opportunity to monitor your personal progress via advancement in belt and ranking.

Since our adult classes are geared towards exercise and self-defense for both genders, couples often find them an excellent way to enjoy the experience of learning and practicing together.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Black Belt Club

The Black Belt Club program is geared towards those who are willing to show more commitment to the martial art of Tae Kwon Do. It is designed with the goal of achieving a black belt in mind. This program is by instructor recommendation only, based on demonstrated ongoing commitment.

The members of this prestigious club enjoy unlimited classes per week, special uniforms, special events, a bi-weekly class that covers exclusive material, and other occasional benefits.

Adults often apply to join our Black Belt Club program, so they can have a flexible schedule and practice as often as they want.

Sparring Competition Team

For the students who enjoy the excitement and energy of competitive sparring, we hold weekly advanced sparring practice sessions. These sessions are taught by an accomplished national level coach and former competitor. They are designed to complement the regular classes, and help the participants improve their sparring, learn sparring strategies, and prepare for tournaments.

Demo Team

Students of all ages and levels may participate in our Demo Team. The demo team holds seasonal performances in Tracy, the Central Valley and the Bay Area. Participation is by invitation, and requires additional dedicated practice sessions.

Leadership

Achieving a black belt is definitely not the end of the ladder in Tae Kwon Do. It is actually merely the beginning of a new course in the pursuit of excellence in this martial art. The Leadership program is built specifically to help our black belts obtain the skills and experience needed to become qualified Tae Kwon Do instructors. The Leadership participants assist in class instruction and in the organization of special programs such as the Demo Team.

YOUTH PROGRAM

Our Tae Kwon Do classes have helped many students improve their social and academic performance at school by boosting their self-confidence, and by teaching them discipline, goal setting and sportsmanship. This all comes on top of the benefits of self-defense skills, physical fitness (strength, endurance, speed and flexibility), and ultimately mind-body coordination.

Students have to do well at school and at home before they can climb the ranks of Tae Kwon Do. Parents are often surprised how homework is completed earlier when a Tae Kwon Do class is added to their child’s afternoon schedule...

In the Beginner Class the students are taught the first Pumsae (Tae Kwon Do forms) and sparring basics, and are given individual attention as they develop the necessary skills. The Intermediate Class offers the more experienced students higher Pumsae and sparring techniques, as well as self-defense skills. The Advanced Class is geared towards preparing the students to earn their black belt and the higher black belt degrees.

In addition to our instructor taught classes, the students also enjoy Buddy Classes where more advanced students work one-on-one with their peers for the benefit of both.

PLAY AGE PROGRAMS

The curriculum of our Play Age (ages 3-6) programs is specifically tailored for the needs of the young ones. Young children experience life more holistically, learning from the entire experience, not just the individual subjects we teach. Classes at this age are 30 minutes long, the Tae Kwon Do techniques are kept simple, and the class utilizes fun activities to help build the new skills.

The Mighty Mites program (for ages 5-6) prepares the children for our more demanding youth programs. This program emphasizes working with others, following directions, and goal setting - all with positive reinforcements.

Our Tiny Mighty Mites program (for ages 3-4) is designed to expose these young children to positive social interaction and help them develop control, balance, self-discipline, attention span and coordination.

Comparable to the traditional belt ranking system in Tae Kwon Do, the Play Age programs use a belt system of their own, which rewards the children for their progress.

These classes are offered three times a week, and it is highly recommended that children this age participate at least twice each week, to help build on previous class progress.
